Enable Classic Customer Accounts in Shopify

Customer accounts 🧑 are not automatically enabled in Shopify stores, so you'd need to activate this feature to allow customers to create accounts or log in.

While Shopify offers two versions of customer accounts, New and Classic, only the Classic version is compatible with third-party apps like ours. To use our app, you'll need to enable the Classic version. You can read more about the differences between the 2 versions on our blog.

To enable Legacy Customer Accounts, follow these steps:

• Go to Settings ➜ Customer accounts in your Shopify admin
• In the Accounts in the online store and checkout section, click on Edit
• Check the box to Show login link in the header of the online store and at checkout. This will add a login link to your store's header and checkout page
• Just below, you can choose the version of Customer Accounts: choose Legacy customer accounts
• Save
